Sourcing Analyst
Work Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary/Description
The primary purpose of the Sourcing Analyst position is to provide analytical support including information/data gathering, market research, economic assessment modeling and savings tracking. Prepares and presents analytical results.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Provide analytical support to the Strategic Sourcing team.
• Utilize spend management analytical tools to gather detail internal spend data by commodity categories.
• Research and compile external marketing information on products and services
• Prepare and present analytical results to Purchasing and customers
• Calculate and report actual and projected sourcing savings by commodity categories
• Ensure departmental/divisional budgets reflect contracted sourcing savings
• Assist the Strategic Sourcing team in identifying product standardization opportunities
• Manage GPO contracting opportunities to ensure contracts are optimized and maximized
• Develop supplier performance review process and procedures
• Manage eProcurement catalogs to ensure contracted items are selected.
• Assist in management and oversight of item master.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in science, healthcare, or business-related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in contract administration, purchasing, or sourcing including the review and understanding of legal contracts, terms, and conditions.
• Healthcare related experience preferred.
• Work requires effective oral and written communication skills.
• Work requires proficiency in administration of bids, contracts and budgets.
• Work requires exercise of considerable judgment in scheduling and coordinating work.
• Work requires a high-level of administrative ability and proficiency in personal computer operations to include Microsoft Office.
• Work requires contact with all levels of internal and external people to affect final determination of problems of recurring but non-routine nature.
• Prefer proficiency with PeopleSoft.
• Prefer proficiency with e-Builder.
