Job Description
RN – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (All Shifts Available)
Work Location: Dallas, TX

InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at a local university hospital. In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter, resource, and/or preceptor to other nursing staff.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Assess/document physiological, psychological sociocultural, and spiritual health status of patient on admission.
• Develop appropriate plan of care for patient.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of interventions.
• Evaluate implemented interventions and modify according to evaluation.
• Provide appropriate and timely patient education to patient and/or patient's family.
• Direct and coordinate patient care assignments of other members of healthcare team. Delegates duties within legal parameters.
• Solve minor issues of counts and errors, patient care, relationships, equipment, etc. prior to management intervention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience: 2+ years’ experience in PACU, required. (ICU experience considered with PACU experience/exposure.)
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as issued by the State of Texas.
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
