Job Description

Release Planner

Work Location: New York NY


Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)

  • Responsible for entering Label Copy/Metadata information in the Sony and The Orchard systems
  • Content Manager: Responsible for ingesting the mastered audio and artwork into The Orchard system
  • Working with label representative to ensure we receive all assets needed for a given release
  • Schedule releases in The Orchard systems and ensuring product is set up correctly
  • Coordinate the production process or Hybrid deals
  • Act as a point contact between internal departments and external partners, coordinating the production timelines, deliverable and deadlines related to each project
  • Work with the Managing Director to develop process and systems to ensure the label is organized and poised for growth
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of prior music industry experience
  • Extremely organized self-starter
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management ◦with a proactive approach – with attention to detail
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of production preferred
  • Excellent time management skills
