Records Support Assistant

Provides customer service to students, staff, parents, and others in the University community by solving problems relating to departmental records. Reviews various information in the process of resolving these issues/problems. Responsible for the processing, maintaining and the monitoring of our records and/or data. Assists with updating practices to accommodate changes related to processing, maintaining, and storing departmental data. Assists with the maintenance of our record system or database of specialized records.
Serves as an administrative liaison and provides back-up for other staff members. Responds to routine inquiries requiring technical or departmental knowledge. Performs a variety of administrative duties regarding student academic records, departmental records or reports. Coordinates mass mailing. Will be responsible for creating and oversees departmental files, databases, and reports. Assists in the maintenance of departmental inventory.
- High School degree or GED
- 1 to 2 years related administrative/records management experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable
- Experience in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people
- Experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing
- Experience in operation of personal computer
