Quality Improvement Information Specialist

Job Summary/Description
InGenesis seeks a Quality Improvement Information Specialist for the Division of Program Analysis to support data integrity and reporting functions. This role is a full-time on-site liaison with contractor and department’s staff who works with development and implementation of a variety of Information Systems as part of the Clinical Information System development and support team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Researches, identifies and analyzes programmatic data problems in the Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS) and other IT systems used by ODP.
• Prepares reports and analyzes Medical Assistance claims data from PROMISe and consumer service plan information from HCSIS to assure that claims are coded and paid for in accordance with the reimbursement methodology specified in the approved waiver.
• Prepares reports and analyzes demographic, incident, survey and other programmatic information for program monitoring and for federal (CMS) reporting.
• Uses Report Studio software tools to develop queries and retrieve data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse and create reports for ODP central office and regional staff, as well as stakeholders both within and outside of the department.
• Prepares final work products using graphs or tables with narrative or statistical information.
• Presents information orally or in narrative reports.
• Analyzes and prepares assigned data requests of a programmatic nature from the Office, Department, other Commonwealth agencies, and other entities. This includes interfacing with users to ensure report content, documenting the process used, preparing the report or file, and preparing applicable correspondence to the request.
• Participate in business requirement and design sessions for systems that will impact Data Warehouse.
• Assists in performing User Acceptance Testing of HCSIS, EIM and/or PROMISe applications, as well as the Data Warehouse and other IT systems used by ODP as needed.
• Attends meetings related to work activities.
• Attends trainings, conferences, etc. as they relate to ODP programs and are available.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Significant experience managing input and manipulation of information using information systems and data management software.
• Basic computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Products.
