POSITION SUMMARY

This is a new position for a new program to provide student loan repayment to health care providers specializing in substance use disorder and opioid addiction.  This position in the Division of Health Professions Development supports the Department of Health and the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs in their mission to reduce drug, alcohol, and gambling addiction and abuse; and to promote recovery, thereby reducing the human and economic impact of the disease.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Meet the minimum experience and training required for the job: One year as a Public Health Program Assistant Administrator;

     or 

  2. A bachelor's degree and two years of professional public health, health, allied

     health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience;

     or 

  3. A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the

     development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of

     social, employment, environmental health, or health related services;

     or 

  4. An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and four years of

     professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or

     programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health

     related services;

     or 

  5. Six years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants,

     contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental

     health, or health related services;

     or 

  6. A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care

     administration, health education, public health administration, public

     administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital

     administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration,

     or education and one year of professional experience in the development or

     evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social,

     employment, environmental health, or health related services.
