Paralegal - (13210)

InGenesis is currently seeking a Paralegal to work with our client in Albany, NY. In this role, you will be working in the NYS Department of Health.

Job Duties

• Operation of postage meter and process for sending documents by certified mail
• Fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject that the caller is calling about, and routing caller to appropriate attorney or refer to appropriate DOH program area
• Processing of invoices for process service companies
• Coordinating service of legal documents

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently on multiple case hearing details
• Experience with the coordination of logistics for the DOH Direct Referral hearing process
• Experience with working in the New York Department of Health, Division of Legal Affairs
• Knowledge of the organizational structure of Department of Health
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Able to maintain an organized work space
• Reliable, efficient, and flexible
• Able to work independently and effectively
• Eager to learn and grow in any position
• Able to work with personal and confidential information in a professional manner
• Able to understand and interpret laws and other legal documents
• Detail oriented, quality conscious, strong prioritizing skills, highly organized
• Proficiency with the operation of Cisco telephone system
• Ability to work 9:00AM-5:00PM
• Ability to work overtime on short notice
