Job Summary/Description
InGenesis seeks a Medical Coder II with knowledge of International Classification of Diseases diagnostic codes for medical diagnoses, assignments, groupings, and medical treatment. The right candidate for this position will be proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of office equipment (i.e. copier and fax machine). Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Monitors and analyzes policies & procedures in order to organize and implement an accurate & efficient International Classification of Diseases Edition.
• As needed, acts as a liaison between ICD unit & other agency departments regarding ICD policy & systems support & coordination.
• Analyzes & interprets federal & state regulations & laws as applicable to program initiatives.
• Monitors & analyzes ICD reports generated on agency computer systems for appropriate usage & assignment of ICD codes.
• Performs ongoing ICD maintenance with updates, revisions & enhancements on agency computer systems.
• Monitors & analyzes reports generated on agency computer systems for appropriate usage & assignment of ICD codes.
• Performs ongoing ICD maintenance with updates, revisions & enhancements on agency computer systems.
• Prepares meaningful, concise, and accurate reports.
• Prepares and deliver speeches before specialized audiences and general public.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• RHIA or RHIT degree and/or CCS/CCS-P/CPC Medical Coder
• 3-4 years’ experience.
