InGenesis is seeking a Licensed Social Worker/Clinical Social Worker to work with our client. In this role, you will provide patient treatment to include individual therapy, group therapy, and psycho/educational services. Responsibilities include providing clinical evaluation and assessment services; recommending and implementing therapeutic interventions and treatment approaches based on evaluation and assessment findings which may include discharge planning/placement; and assisting with social assessments and treatment plan production and coordination as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement evidenced-based therapeutic interventions and treatment
approaches. - Provide therapy to include both individual and group therapy for patients as well as short
term crisis counseling and supportive contact. - Maintain caseload of assigned clients and coordinates with treatment teams.
- Provide substance use disorder or other evaluation and assessment.
- Actively participate with unit treatment teams to analyze patient evaluation, recommend
specific groups or other specialized treatment interventions, and review patient behaviors. - Instruct staff in therapeutic treatment approaches and evidence-based techniques according to clients’ psychiatric needs.
- Administer specific substance use disorder testing, communicates findings of substance
use disorder evaluations (using A.S.A.M. patient placement criteria) and conducts other
clinical assessments that may be requested and works with the treatment team to engage
client in continued care. - Participate in diagnostic and treatment clinics with other team members to determine
client’s treatment intervention and gives recommendations on how to best address
discharge challenges. - Maintain clearly written progress notes on all clinical contact with clients.
- Perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner following established policies, general
safety rules, and safe operating procedures. - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical treatment discipline that may include nursing, psychology,
social work, rehabilitation therapy, or similar background involving the treatment of adult
psychiatric patients. A Master’s degree is preferred. - Two years of experience providing therapeutic mental health care to seriously mentally ill
individuals. - Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LCPC), Marriage and
Family Therapist (LMFT), or Addictions Counselors (LAC) is required. Applicants with
provisional licenses will also be considered. - Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of clinical treatment techniques for adult psychiatric clients including
subgroups of patients with: psychotic disorders; mood disorders; personality disorders;
substance use disorders; patients involved in the criminal justice system; geriatric patients;
and other mental health disorders. - Understanding of individual and team approaches to treatment and therapy for emotionally
disturbed and/or handicapped adults. - Knowledge and application of professional and ethical standards of practice.
- Effective interviewing and information gathering techniques.
- Ability to effectively utilize knowledge and skills, and apply them to practical assessment
and treatment modalities for patients. - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information.
