Work Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary/Description
The HR Tech is the "face of the institution" they will work at the HR Service Desk where new employees come on their first day to get their badge. Current employees may come to this area for general assistance. The ideal candidate is able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, has excellent customer service skills and a team mindset.
Under the supervision of the HRSC Supervisor, performs all duties at the front desk including but not limited to greeting visitors, verifying badge requests and background checks complete, vetting contractors, validating parking, data entry, checks in people for on boarding, checks in students for badging, receives and dispatches packages, prints and indexes Image Now documents, works badge issues in HR helpdesk, gives directions within building, assists with job application computers.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; must be open to working holidays when/if needed

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1-4 years of post-secondary school training. Either a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business, or certification from a business school offering special training in secretarial skills.
• One (1) year of college will be accepted as the equivalent of one-(1) year of work experience.
• Four years of general clerical experience required.
• Prefer 2 years HR experience or call center experience.
• An understanding of principles and practices of customer service and call centers.
• Previous benefit and/or KRONOS experience is a plus.
• Bilingual is not required but is preferred
