Custodial Worker | Dallas, TX | Contract

Work Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary/Description
The Housekeeper will work under minimal supervision to supervise and participate in custodial, maintenance, and related work. We are seeking candidates to work the 2nd shift: 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Assigns, coordinates, and supervises work of group of custodial workers, advising them of special assignments or changes in work routines and inspecting completed work for adherence to work standards and procedures.
• Observes and reports need for repairs in assigned buildings.
• Maintains security for assigned area or areas, issuing and checking in keys at end of shift.
• May train or supervise on-the-job training of new employees.
• May assist in planning and implementing new methods and materials for cleaning buildings and allied activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school graduation or GED and three (3) years’ experience, including one (1) year as Custodial Worker II or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Work requires good working knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in cleaning offices, laboratories, and lecture rooms.
• Work requires proficiency in all phases of duties performed.
• Work requires ability to perform work tasks of moderate complexity involving independent decisions concerning sequence of work or similar matters on daily basis.
• Work requires regular use of initiative, independent judgment, and/or resourcefulness is inherent in job.
• Work requires contact with building occupants in handling of complaints or requests for special custodial services.
