HIV Program Capacity Building Coordinator
Work Location: Harrisburg, PA
The HIV Program Capacity Building Coordinator is accountable for the development, coordination, and facilitation of capacity building events including trainings, meetings, presentations, conferences, and registration for the Division of HIV Disease (Division). The primary responsibilities of this position are the development of trainings pertinent to the Division related to HIV prevention and care, coordination of trainings with the HIV Prevention and Care Project (HPCP) at the University of Pittsburgh and the Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) at the University of Pittsburgh and other agencies as identified, coordination of capacity building meetings such as the HIV/STD Field Staff meeting and the Participating Provider Agreement meetings, as well as coordination of conferences, and the facilitation of all capacity building events.
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions(including but not limited to)
• Assist with the assessment of capacity building needs.
• Develops trainings to complement existing trainings.
• Develops and maintains a training registration site.
• Reviews and updates all trainings.
• Coordinates capacity building events.
• Acts as the liaison between the Division and HPCP and AETC.
• Coordinates trainings with HPCP and AETC.
• Assist Division staff in the development and execution of trainings.
• Facilitates all capacity building events.
• Makes recommendations to implement trainings.
• May participate on state and/or federal committees/workgroups.
• Oversees any capacity building grants/contracts.
• Coordinates and facilitates payment of capacity building events.
• Coordinates and facilitates HIV testing trainings for testing partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• REQUIRED ABILITIES:

oAbility to balance work between multiple projects and possess good organizational skills.

• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
oExperience in training curriculum development.
oExperience in coordination of capacity building events.
oExperience in oral presentations.
oExperience in collaboration with other agencies.
oKnowledge of HIV prevention and care activities; and the continuum of HIV care.
oKnowledge of ancillary and support services such as mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, etc.
