Graphic Designer
Work Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary/Description
Performs and coordinates graphic design functions for projects such as brochures, reports, magazines, posters, invitations, newspapers, newsletters, logos, letterheads, business cards and other printed material. The position is part-time, no more than 30 hours per week.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Utilizes desk top publishing to generate layouts and designs for the majority of projects.
• Identifies the needs and preferences of clients and consistently produces the desired products.
• Monitors and prioritizes multiple projects.
• Puts together visual materials and mock-ups for presentation to customer or committee.
• Ensures that artwork and boards are approved by customer before delivered to printer.
• Ensures that artwork meets the printer’s requirements as camera ready art.
• Takes on assignments from concept to completion and maintain honest and effective communication with customer throughout all processes of the project.
• Checks jobs at print shop when needed.
• Ensures that end product(s) meet, if not exceed, customer expectations.
• Reviews exceptions requested by customer with supervisor in order to maintain product and or services within guidelines.
• Provides work direction and guidance to personnel within department. May lead projects and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or experience in lieu of education.
• Possess Computer Graphics Training
