Job Summary/Description
InGenesis seeks a Customer Service Assistant to serve as front desk receptionist for assigned agency. In this position, you will provide basic information to and resolve basic complaints from internal and external customers. The right candidate for this position will have knowledge of general office practices and skill in operation of office equipment, including but not limited to, the operation of a personal computer. Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Greet, direct, and/or register customers.
• Stock reception area with information materials pertinent to assigned department.
• Answer telephone and/or voice mail; take messages and/or refer calls.
• Provides general information concerning department operations/services.
• Mail informational packages.
• Interview callers to gather pertinent information concerning alleged violations (e.g., fraud, poaching)
• Conduct search of hardcopy and/or computerized records to verify, locate or identify status of requested information (e.g., appeals, case files, amount of imposed fines and/or suspensions, etc.).
• Provide information and/or process transactions that do not require in-depth knowledge of applicable federal or state laws, rules, policies, procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months training or experience in office practices and procedures.
• 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people.
• 1 course or 3 months experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.
