Black Alumni Reunion Coordinator

Job Summary/Description
The Black Alumni Reunion Coordinator works to create reunion events that engage alumni and friends with the Alumni Association and university. This position has the primary responsibility of implementing the Black Alumni Reunion in coordination with volunteers and staff.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Plan and execute the 2019 Black Alumni Reunion. Coordinating, supporting and mobilizing reunion committee volunteers. Securing appropriate venues, vendors and determining seamless logistics for various weekend logistics. Partnering to ensure the event “feel” aligns with vision and audience of key stakeholders. Managing event registrations, using various software and resources
• Make strategic budget recommendations regarding the 2019 Black Alumni Reunion. Ensure all activities are within approved budgets and comply with University policies and guidelines.
• Conduct post-reunion follow up efforts, including surveys, photos, volunteer gifts, etc. Ensure that all planning materials, timelines, duties and logistics are organized and archived for future planning needs.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in event planning and volunteer management
