Administrative Assistant - Intermediate

Work Location: San Antonio TX

Job Summary/Description 

Dental Front Desk - Provide administrative support to Dental Office, including greeting and processing patients at front desk.   Ability to gather demographic information, insurance information, input patient record into Axiom system, manage telephone call-ins and scheduling, assist with setting up patient files for procedures.  Prefers Spanish speaking, ability to work at a fast pace and maintain positive attitude for visiting patients, guests and faculty.  Prefers previous medical or dental front desk, or experience in healthcare field.  Dress is scrubs, professional in appearance and mannerisms.  Work Hours Mon-Fri, varying schedules 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)

  • Provide administrative support, including greeting and processing front desk clients.   

  • Ability to gather demographic information, insurance information, input patient record into Axiom system, manage telephone call ins and scheduling,

  • Assist with setting up patient files for procedures.  

  • Perform other duties and clerical duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED plus three to five years of secretarial or typing and clerical experience.

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage incoming phone calls/visitors

  • Strong professionalism in mannerisms, communication, appearance

  • Prefer Bi-lingual in the Spanish language.

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and maintain positive attitude for guests and faculty. 

  • Prefers previous front desk experience or experience in healthcare field.

  • Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills

  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel Proficient computer skills in applicable MS Office Programs.
