User Experience (UX) Researcher

IMVU is committed to making the next generation of virtual social experiences. In pursuit of this, we are looking for highly motivated User Experience Researchers that will investigate the customer's current experience, evaluate new experiences, and help shape the future of IMVU.

 

What you will do:

  • Create research plans based on stakeholder's questions and project needs.

  • Create and conduct user experience (UX) research.

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources into actionable insights.

  • Provide both written and verbal presentations to project teams based on your findings.

  • Collaborate on projects with UX researchers, design, and product teammates throughout the project's lifecycle.

  • Become an integral part of the development of the user experience research department and contribute to the promotion a customer-centric philosophy.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields.

  • 1 to 3 years of applied experience in conducting UX research on mobile products.

  • Strong foundation in the behavioral sciences and experimental design.

  • Strong understanding of UX methodologies with a particular focus on qualitative research.

  • Knowledge of the following: ethnographic methods, biometrics (ex. eye-tracking, facial analysis, etc.), and/or online community research.  

  • Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal.

  • You must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work well both independently and collaboratively.

 

Bonus Points:

  • Applied experience in studying social virtual worlds, gaming communities, and/or other online communities.

  • Applied experience with ethnographic, survey, or data-driven personas research.

  • Applied experience with biometric UX research such as eye tracking or emotive facial analysis.
