Senior Manager, Product Design

Manage, develop and oversee a team of user experience designers charged with building virtual worlds across various platforms and products. Oversee the development and timely flow of project deliverables, ensuring that the product will meet its intended goals while driving each product to its completion, utilizing wireframe software (Miro), mock up software (Figma, Sketch), prototyping software (Principle), visual effect software (After Effects), graphic editing software (Photoshop), NLE software (Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and 3D engine (Unity, Godot, Northstar), design compelling user experiences across many products. Oversee the development of prototypes, storyboards, screen-flow diagrams, wireframes, mock-ups and written text to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Lead user research and usability testing efforts. Deliver and drive best practices with an eye toward repeatable design patterns, localizations, scalability and ease of maintenance. Conduct constructive design reviews, measure the success of our user experience, revise and update designs based on user testing and customer feedback. Create user interface (UI) specification documentation as necessary. Manage multiple internal and external groups executing user interface requirements. Identify, hire and manage external software design contractors. Work closely with agile engineering and product management teams to ensure execution of design requirements. Mentor and motivate team members, clarifying difficult issues and orchestrating efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in entertainment technology, visual design, computer science or a related field.
Five years of experience in job offered, or as a UX designer, interaction designer or a related occupational title
Applicant must meet the following skills and experience through work experience or education, with no specified time as demonstration of proficiency.
Demonstrated experience with 3D software or game engines including Maya, Blender, Unity or Unreal.
Demonstrated knowledge of UX design principles and processes.
Demonstrated experience working with usability, typography, layout and UI designs.
Demonstrated experience in building scalable design systems.
Demonstrated experience working with modern UI design and prototyping software including Figma and Principle.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud and sketch.
Experience designing tools for 3D user generated content.
Experience overseeing product design projects within interdisciplinary project teams.
