IMVU is rapidly expanding its development team and is seeking a principal level mobile app and UI lead for an exciting upcoming project. This project involves building a fully featured app on top of a cross-platform game engine targeting both iOS and Android.


If you

  • Are an expert at building apps for iOS or Android

  • Have a deep understanding of mobile app architecture

  • Have an intuitive understanding and appreciation for UX design and the nuances of UI behaviour on mobile devices

  • Can deliver a highly polished user interface using a cross-platform toolkit

  • Are strong in C++ and understand how and when to bridge to iOS and Android native code when needed

  • Can take a feature from planning to release working across multiple disciplines and platforms

  • Can mentor and grow less experienced engineers

  • Are a superstar engineer with great coding skills

  • Help lead a team of engineers through the challenges of high end mobile development

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

  • Five or more years of mobile development experience

  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example 

  • Experience with integrating C++ with mobile clients

  • Experience working with source control tools like git or perforce 

  • To have shipped multiple apps on mobile

  • As a bonus - have experience in Unreal 4 and proprietary 3D game engines
