About the Opportunity:

We’re hiring a UX Manager to join our Product leadership team. You will lead a team of designers and help shape the user experience for ImageTrend products. This player-coach role will involve getting into the field to understand users, translating insights into great design, and building a design system that scales. The role will be a balance of research, design, and execution, while advocating for user-centered design, mentoring others, and laying the foundation for a growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have the same comfort level talking to a paramedic in the field, as they do pushing pixels or pairing with a developer! Join us and make a real impact on the tools that first responders and clinicians use daily. You’ll get to build the UX function from the ground up, with autonomy and support, and collaborate with a mission-driven team that values learning and getting things done!

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and provide oversight to UX team members, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring and managing performance with constructive feedback for improvement and skill development for career progression
  • Lead practical user research and discovery through field visits, contextual inquiry, user interviews, and usability testing to inform product decisions
  • Translate complex, real-world workflows into intuitive, user-centered digital experiences
  • Foster empathy across the organization by sharing meaningful insights that directly shape product direction
  • Drive the end-to-end UX design and delivery process from early concepts and wireframes to high-fidelity UI for core product areas
  • Partner with Product and Engineering or other stakeholders to ensure smooth handoff, thoughtful implementation, and alignment across teams
  • Build, document, and develop a scalable design system that enhances product consistency and team efficiency
  • Advocate for and champion user-centered design practices, integrating research, prototyping, and iteration into the product development process
  • Regularly offer coaching, design assistance and process improvement ideas as a subject matter expert to other departments and cross-functional peers as needed
  • Contribute to defining the future of the UX function as the team and organization continue to grow
  • Travel to industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
  • Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree or professional certificate in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proven experience in UX or product design, including hands-on work with user research, prototyping, and design systems, preferably in healthcare, public safety, or similar complex enterprise software platforms
  • Experience building, leading and coaching a team of UX designers to achieve professional growth, preferably in a SaaS organization using Agile/Scrum
  • Strong portfolio showing thoughtful, real-world design work and a clear process
  • Demonstrated experience conducting and synthesizing field research in complex, real-world environments, preferably in a SaaS or technology organization working with hospitals, ambulances, or government agencies
  • Proven ability to build, lead and continuously improve the UX function and processes, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution to deliver thoughtful, scalable design solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and front-end development workflows
  • Working knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards to ensure inclusive user experiences across platforms and devices
  • Passion for improving public health and safety by designing intuitive, user-centered workflows for first responders and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to travel as required, up to 25%
