This is an ongoing talent pipeline posting, not a specific current opening.
Our Account Executives run their territories like their own business, taking full ownership of territory strategy, pipeline, forecast, resources, and results. They develop and execute strategic account plans, proactively create pipeline, build executive-level relationships and lead complex opportunities from discovery through procurement, negotiation and close.
Successful Account Executives combine disciplined selling with deep customer and market understanding. They navigate complex buying organizations, uncover business and operational challenges, differentiate ImageTrend in competitive environments and establish clear paths to purchase.
What You'll Do:
Own Your Territory
- Own and achieve annual revenue goals across an assigned territory.
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans that identify priority accounts, whitespace opportunities, key stakeholders, competitive dynamics and compelling events.
- Proactively create and maintain sufficient qualified pipeline through targeted prospecting, account-based strategies, executive engagement, referrals, events and internal partnerships.
- Drive both new-logo acquisition and strategic expansion within existing accounts.
- Maintain Salesforce as the system of record for accounts, opportunities, pipeline and forecasting, ensuring stages, next steps, close dates and customer commitments are accurate, current and actionable.
- Deliver accurate, evidence-based forecasts grounded in customer-validated timelines and commitments, decision processes, procurement requirements and documented next steps.
Lead a Disciplined Sales Process
- Conduct effective discovery to understand customer strategic priorities, business and operational challenges, desired outcomes, decision criteria, stakeholders and compelling events.
- Consistently apply ImageTrend’s sales methodology and qualification framework to rigorously qualify, advance and close opportunities.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder and multi-year sales cycles from discovery through technical evaluation, procurement, negotiation, contracting and close.
- Navigate RFP/RFQ processes, procurement, information security, legal and contract review, budgeting and executive approvals common to public-sector and healthcare organizations.
- Build and multi-thread relationships across complex buying organizations, understand the competitive landscape, differentiate ImageTrend’s value and create urgency around meaningful customer outcomes.
- Establish clear accountability, mutually agreed-upon next steps and close plans with customers and internal stakeholders to maintain momentum throughout the buying process.
- Leverage Gong and other sales intelligence tools to prepare for customer interactions, capture insights, improve discovery and messaging, and strengthen deal strategy and execution.
- Use approved AI tools responsibly to research accounts, prepare for customer interactions and streamline administrative work, while protecting customer and proprietary data and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it or sharing it externally.
Win as a Team & Continuously Improve
- Strategically orchestrate Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Proposals, Legal/Contracts, Implementation, Product and executive resources to advance opportunities and remove roadblocks.
- Ensure an effective transition from Sales to Implementation and Customer Success following contract execution.
- Demonstrate curiosity, resilience and coachability; actively seek and apply feedback and share competitive intelligence, wins and best practices across the organization.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven full-cycle sales success in a complex, strategic sales environment, preferably selling SaaS solutions within public safety, healthcare or similarly complex industries.
- Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding quota while building and maintaining sufficient qualified pipeline.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic territory and account plans and proactively create new-logo opportunities rather than relying primarily on inbound demand.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder and multi-year sales cycles involving executive sponsors and sophisticated buying committees.
- Experience successfully navigating RFPs/RFQs, procurement, contracting, information security, budgeting and executive approval processes.
- Strong discovery, presentation, business-case development, negotiation and closing capabilities, with demonstrated ability to build and influence relationships across executive and other key stakeholders.
- Experience with a structured sales methodology and qualification framework such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message or similar, with the ability to quickly adopt and consistently apply ImageTrend’s sales methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain disciplined CRM practices and produce accurate, evidence-based forecasts.
- Experience leveraging Salesforce, Gong or similar sales technologies to manage pipeline, improve opportunity execution and drive sales effectiveness.
- High degree of accountability, integrity and collaboration.
- Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
- Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
- Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
- Ability to travel 25-50%, with additional travel as needed
