Description:
The successful Systems Engineer in this role will be flexible and able to support various tasks on short notice for the C2BMC program.
Key Responsibilities include focusing on supporting the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and authoring and performing formal and informal engineering reviews. Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department. Perform the work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead, various product owners, and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
Additional responsibilities include Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis. Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning, status, and agile team leadership.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering;
· 3+ years of professional experience;
· Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles;
· A proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions;
· Experience in decomposing requirements from parent-level requirements to lower system/subsystem-level requirements.
· Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., Interface Control Documents, Use Cases Briefings, Sequence Diagrams, etc.);
· Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
· Must be able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.
· The Systems Engineer is expected to have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions;
· Must have a background in all systems development life cycle aspects;
· Demonstrated experience in contributions to implementation that included the ability to analyze high-level needs, and to define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product;
· Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project;
· Active Secret Clearance, and must be US Citizen.
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience working within an Agile development environment;
· Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense.
