Job Description


This position is a strong hands-on technical position on analysis, design, development and implementation, with a focus on systems integrations. 

The Software Developer will be a member of the Information Services Team within the Business and Technology Services and Support group and will report to Technology Services Manager 

The key responsibilities and deliverables of this role are: 

  • Support the IDP C4C users through consulting, enhancements and issue resolution. 

  • Support successful project implementation phase on business, conceptual, programming level 

  • Work with the support team to determine how the applications are supported in production, including system performance and monitoring  

  • Work with architects, Integration developers, project managers and product owners to define the application and technical architecture structure to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements 

  • Fully understand the capabilities and limitations of SAP C4C solution 

  • Provide in depth knowledge of SAP Cloud for Customers solution 

  • Translate business requirements into a functional and technical implementation 

  • Work with the support team to determine how the applications are supported in production, including system performance and monitoring 

  • Support successful project implementation phase on business, conceptual, programming level 

  • Manage stakeholder and customer requirements 

  • Contribute to operational, project and management level reporting 

  • Contribute to IDP projects from time to time as required 

 Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification): 

  • Holds a minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional engineering qualification with major in information technology computer science, information science, computer systems analysis, networking, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 4 + Years working experience in developing Java applications 

  • CRM functional domain knowledge 

  • Strong knowledge on RDBMS & SQL databases 

  • Exposure to cloud computing platforms 

  • Be familiar with at least one IDE (Microsoft Visual Studio) and learn quickly to new technologies 

  • Deep knowledge of integration protocols like HTTP, XML, XSD, SOAP, WSDL, RESTful, OData, OAuth is a must knowledge and experience of major ERP and CRM systems is a big plus 

  • Object Oriented concepts with proven programming skill is a must 

  • should be aware of solution deployment to tenants in the landscape 

  • Highly developed Analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, influencing and customer management skills 

  • Proficient in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and design techniques. 

  • Possesses good knowledge of different software systems and architecture including cloud, SaaS and client/server 

  • Candidate must possess the ability and willingness to continually learn new and emerging technologies and “think outside the box”,  to deliver creative solutions of new processes, as well as effectively identify, analyze and resolve highly complex technical issues. 

  • Experienced in Agile methodology 

  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. 

  • Exhibit a proactive approach to quickly identify problems and implement solutions. 

  • Experienced working under pressure and organising work priorities 

Desirable requirements (leadership & team/project capabilities): 

  • Exposure to SAP C4C, SAP Hybris, SAP Hybris Marketing, Success Factors is advantageous 

  • Experience in SAP ABSL, BODL, UI Script, UI designer MVC concept using Cloud Applications Studio (SDK) 

  • Certification in SAP C4C technical course C4C30 and C4C50 would be added advantage 

  • Customer service skills - Interpersonal skills, particularly negotiation and facilitation, to recognise requirements and ways to satisfy them and maintain good relations with IDP staff and suppliers 

  • Project Management, Agile certifications 

  • Knowledge and experience in effectively working with the ITIL framework
