POSITION TITLE: 

Integration Architect 

LOCATION: 

IS Service Desk - Chennai, India 

 

POSITION PURPOSE 

This position will focus primarily on supporting integration software development initiatives, both real-time (ESB), as well as batch (ETL). This position will also help reduce costs by reducing dependence on 3rd party vendors and providing technical leadership when vendors are used. 

The Integration Architect is a thought leader who will need to collaborate with IT leadership and technical staff across the organization to formulate and maintain a cohesive SAP technical solution strategy . 

This role is part of the Information Services Team within the Business and Technology Services and Support group and will report to Solution Architect 

The key responsibilities and deliverables of this role are: 

  • Leverage SAP Cloud Platform services to extend the benefit on the existing IT investments and be agile, and integrate IT landscapes so they can optimize business processes and become more efficient. 

  • Responsible for guiding architectural design as a prime subject matter expert in the area of Integration Development 

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a formal data structures, data description and data architecture; this can include data models, data definitions (logical, physical, and conceptual), data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, etc 

  • Build data mapping, provide the means of system integration by considering the target as well as the source. 

  • Act as an integration consultant in a multidisciplinary team 

  • Contribute to operational, project and management level reporting 

  • Contribute to IDP projects from time to time as required 

  • Mentor, direct and train team members and perform as the technical lead

Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification): 

  • Holds a minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional engineering qualification with major in information technology computer science, information science, computer systems analysis, networking, or a related field. 

  • 7 + Years of combined technology experience including a minimum of 5+ years exposed to systems integration  

  • Knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud Integration/Data Platform as a service, Business to Business (B2B) and/or Electric Data Interchange (EDI) integration 

  • Have experience in working industry standards such as Extensive Markup Language (XML), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Javascript Object Notation (JSON), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), Open Data Protocol (OData) and EDI. 

  • Exposure to one or more Integration Platform technologies and have proven track record in designing and implementing integration solutions 

  • Have experience in integrating one or more integration styles such as Process Integration, Data Integration and User Integration. 

  • Experience architecting and documenting complex, large scale, integration systems 

  • Highly developed Analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, influencing and customer management skills 

  • Proficient in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and design techniques. 

  • Possesses good knowledge of different software systems and architecture including cloud, SaaS and client/server 

  • Candidate must possess the ability and willingness to continually learn new and emerging technologies and “think outside the box”,  to deliver creative solutions of new processes, as well as effectively identify, analyze and resolve highly complex technical issues. 

  • Experienced in Agile methodology 

  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. 

  • Exhibit a proactive approach to quickly identify problems and implement solutions. 

  • Experienced working under pressure and organising work priorities 

Desirable requirements (leadership & team/project capabilities): 

  • SAP Hana Cloud Platform Integration 

  • Exposure to SAP Hybris, C4C, Hybris Marketing, Success Factors is advantageous 

  • Customer service skills - Interpersonal skills, particularly negotiation and facilitation, to recognise requirements and ways to satisfy them and maintain good relations with IDP staff and suppliers 

  • Project Management, Agile certifications 

  • Knowledge and experience in effectively working with the ITIL framework
