a) Line manage and develop staff within HR
b) Ensure a team spirit among staff
Recruitment & Selection
c) Maintain human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
d) Work closely with the Px & Admin Manager in Ho Chi Minh City to maintain standard and up to date staff position descriptions
e) Maintain detailed and accurate records and files of staff and teachers
f) Respond promptly to issues that require staff discipline and dismissal procedures strictly following the Labour Code and Employee Regulations / Office Manual.
g) Amend and update handbooks and guidelines governing all departments and departmental sections consulting with relevant managers and staff as required
Compensation & Benefits
h) Ensure on-time and accurate salary payments are made to all staff and teachers
i) Maintain and review salary structures for staff, outlining clear qualification and experience requirements and one which provides objective and transparent promotion opportunities
j) Perform annual market surveys and salary reviews of other similar organizations in relation to salaries and working conditions and recommend structure revisions
k) Process expat staff work permits, visa and TRC applications
Training & Development
l) Consult with managers over training and development needs and to devise an effective annual staff learning and development program
m) Conduct the annual Performance Management System (PMS)
n) Work with the Department of Immigration and other Government agencies to ensure that ACET is compliant with legal requirements for HR
o) Liaise with local authority and other relevant government departments such as IDP, DOLISA, DOET regarding procedures, licensing, reporting etc
p) Negotiate with vendors for HR & Admin activities
q) Perform other duties as and when required by the Px & Admin Manager
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum qualifications and experience
- First degree
- P/g qualifications in human resource management (desirable)
- High level literacy in English and in Vietnamese
- One years’ experience in same position in a medium company employing both local and expat staff .
- Hands-on Payroll, Social insurance, Personal Income Tax
- Having knowledge of work permit, visa and TRC for expats.
- Good ‘people skills’, leadership..
The appointee should demonstrate capacity to:
- Maintain and improve current practices within HR
- Work closely and constructively with other departments in Ho Chi Minh City and counterparts in Hanoi
- Ensure a team spirit among staff.
- Represent the school in a way that enhances its reputation.
- Show understanding of employment law.
