Director, Technology Strategy & Enterprise Delivery

In this newly created position of Director, Technology Strategy & Enterprise Delivery, you will play an important role in anticipating, planning and directing IDP’s Technology Strategy aligned to our overarching vision and strategy.  You will also partner closely with our different businesses globally to achieve transformational ways of working focused on improving the speed, efficiency and agility of our delivery practices.  Reporting the CIO, this will include;

• Ensuring an innovative and robust digital and technology capability to support our Group Strategy and vision.
• Continuously evolving IDP’s understanding of present and emerging opportunities, issues and risks
• Establishing and growing our technology strategic planning capability including an IT roadmap and alignment         across digital, regional and infrastructure domains.
• Developing sound and compelling business cases and ensuring the return on our IT investment is maximised
• Partnering with the Enterprise Architecture function in providing standards and selection criteria for solutions           across the entire application and infrastructure landscape.
• Leading the implementation and optimisation of the Enterprise Portfolio Governance Framework and for                   ensuring the right controls, standards and processes are in place for program delivery excellence
• Providing a single point of contact into IDP’s strategic technology capability

 A bit about you

This is a senior role within our organisation and should appeal to an accomplished Leader with diverse/cross functional experience within large, multi-national and complex organisations.    Specifically we are looking for someone with;

• Extensive prior experience in Technology/Digital strategy at a group level with additional broadly applied                experience in a combination of divisional, domain or delivery management roles – ideally in transforming                 delivery models
• Proven experience working with senior business stakeholders at Executive, Board and Senior Management             levels to achieve successful business outcomes.
• Proven commercial acumen including planning, finance, management & negotiation of 3rd party supply                   arrangement, budgeting and capex/opex management.
• Mastery of leadership and change management skills; ability to influence and expertly navigate complex &               heavily matrixed corporate environments
• Tertiary qualifications in Business or Information Technology, post graduate studies and applied experience in          using Agile ways of working.
