POSITION PURPOSE

  1. Recruit a Business Development executive to focus on relationship building and acquisition of IELTS Referral Partners primarily in West Malaysia (Educational institutions/Language centres/training centres/education consultants/migration consultants/schools) and any other organizations that have potential to refer IELTS candidates.
  2. Identify and sign-up potential Referral partners (mentioned in point 1) by travelling withing Klang valley, as well as other areas in West Malaysia. If needed, will travel to East Malaysia too to support business growth activities.
  3. Sales oriented approach involving regular visits to potential or existing partners as per agreed calendar with IELTS Head. Build strong Referral Partner relationships by offering support through ongoing engagement, and quality service to test takers and partners.
  4. Assist Head Operations in preparing and conducting recognition programs and awards programs for Referral partners.
  5. Build and maintain partnerships with Institution (campus) testing institutions, in line with company policy, to grow number of IELTS test takers.
  6. Conduct regular market mapping exercise to ensure that IDP is in close contact with relevant institutions as per defined market segments. Update Country Director, IELTS Head and team on competitive landscape and activities.
  7. Work closely with IDP Student Placement Business Development Head , SP Business development executives and office managers to support local partners and share market information .  Participate in IDP physical or virtual education fairs when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Sales Performance

Collaborate primarily with Head of IELTS Operations, Malaysia. Also work closely with IELTS TCA and test administrators as needed.

 - to develop and implement a good referral partner management process and activities

-   capacity /capability as per targets and ensure consistent sales, service and partner management performance standards and benchmarks which are continuously improved.

Business & Sales Management

Drive the development and implementation of Business development plans – Market mapping, time bound visits and progress updates

Responsible for sales related KPIs on the performance output.

Service Standards

Provide inputs and take necessary actions to the ongoing development and maintenance of service and partner management performance standards and benchmarks for the office.

Global Participation

Drive and guide the offices participation in and execution of global improvement projects where applicable.

 Communications

Speedily determine when an issue needs to be escalated to the Supervisor for resolution.

Proactively provide timely feedback and advice to the Supervisor on the management of issues arising from competitor activities, changing business environments, change in student visa policies etc.

 

KEY KPI'S 

  1. Achieve targets for Market share growth as well IELTS candidate volumes for the financial year.
  2. Achieve targets for new referral or institutional partners’ acquisition (educational institutions/Language centres/training centres/education consultants/migration consultants/schools and any other organizations that have potential to refer IELTS candidates)
  3. Timely preparation and execution of BD activity calendar. This must include key activities like new partner visits or existing partner visits. With supervisor - make annual and monthly plans for assigned institutions.
  4. Assist Head Operations in preparing and conducting recognition programs and awards programs for Referral partners.
  5. Focus on relationship building with current and new referral partners and institution partners. Build strong Referral & Institutional Partner support through ongoing engagement, and quality service to test takers and partners
  6. Conduct regular market mapping exercise to ensure that IDP is in close contact with relevant institutions as per defined market segments. Update competitive information to IELTS Head as well as Country Director.
  7. Be a productive and effective member of the IELTS team by exhibiting a collaborative operating style.

Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification(s)):

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Diploma with 3 years working experience in office environment can be considered
  • Having a strong sales orientation and Relationship building skills
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Basic IT skills
