Business Development Executive

Drive and generate revenue for the company by developing and implementing plans and strategies through different and alternative channels and methods, guided by the following 6 areas: 

Key performance areas include delivering: 

  • Business Analytics 
  • Develop SP business 
  • Student Essentials Services (SES) 
  • IELTS 
  • Marketing 
  • Stakeholder Relationships (Embassies)


Business Analytics

  • External and internal market research to identify gaps and propose new strategies
  • External market research: competitor review, industry data
  • Analyse client, course mix analysis, review any significant industry and country market trends and producing reports where necessary
  • Analyse and review the compiled reports for individual departments
  • Review and evaluate the ROI and efficacy of events

Develop SP Business

  • Prospect for potential partners and manage relationships with existing partners (eg PEIs, clubs and associations, organisations, NS groups)
  • Project lead for school outreach as the first point of contact to collaborate (school talks, roadshows, exhibitions, events)
  • Support the SPMs to drive counsellor efficiency and increasing conversions
  • Project lead for in-house activities (activity calendar) for leads generation
  • Project lead for predeparture seminars with internal stakeholders (SPMs, Team Leads, Marketing) to drive brand awareness and referrals

Student Essentials Services (SES)

  • Drive SP’s SES goals - penetration rate, volume and revenue goals
  • Prospect for new channels for SES leads / revenue, raise IDP brand awareness
  • Develop SES related activities or promotions to generate SES leads or awareness
  • Managing day-to-day communications and relationships with existing vendors


  • Prospect and develop new and active partnerships for IELTS
  • Manage relationships with active IELTS referral partners


  • Explore alternative channels for H/W leads
  • Review the existing sources for H/W leads
  • Identify potential/new opportunities and develop promotional strategies and campaigns that will raise IDP’s profile (activity calendar)

Stakeholder Relations (Embassies)

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with government embassies


Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification(s)):

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree in any discipline (or work experience equivalent) 
  • Must have the ability to work and operate in a team and demonstrate team work skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Good computer skills
