The role:

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Head of People Operations, EMEA must first and foremost have a pulse on where cutting edge skills can best be found and developed in the region.   In order to succeed, you will need to be adept at identifying leaders at all levels while aligning with a US-based growth strategy. There will also be the requirement to see a bit down the road to articulate the requirements that stakeholders may not yet know that they need.  Ultimately, this role will grow a world-class people ops team to support a rapidly growing, diverse employee population outside the US. The individual can be based anywhere in EMEA but must be willing to travel extensively.


Job responsibilities

  • Establish best in class programs and practices in the people ops infrastructure that align with local cultures including but not limited to recruiting processes, learning & development programs and retention strategies.

  • Identify and hire leaders at all levels

  • Conduct HR due diligence for potential acquisitions including assessment of cultural fit

  • Advize on locations for growth opportunities and consult on organizational design for those and existing locations.

  • Provide metrics around retention and engagement through surveys and tracking mechanisms

  • Proactively anticipate and communicate stakeholder needs to align business goals with people strategy.

  • Hire and train new and existing people ops team members outside the US.


Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 12+ years experience people operations, 5+ of which should be in EMEA

  • Familiarity with EMEA employment laws

  • 5+ years growing and managing a team

  • Exceptional communications skills

  • Ability to partner with high-level executives

  • Demonstrated ability to drive large scale change, from idea conception to detailed implementation planning
