The BI Analytics intern will help us to perform an extensive data dive for our Apalon subscription apps to find opportunities for the Marketing and Product Teams. Apalon, IAC Applications’ mobile division, is one of the leading mobile development companies with a portfolio of popular apps that reaches more than 40 million monthly active users. Subscription apps have become bigger part of Apalon business throughout 2017. This BI Analytics intern will spend the summer getting to know and learn the Apalon business from a data perspective. You will help us to provide detailed reports on key subscription apps metrics (user activity, subscription conversion rate, LTV, etc.).
On the day-to-day, you will gather a list of core metrics, understand the definition of these metrics, and find out how to pull data from a database. You will keep in mind how each metric affects other metrics (i.e. data ecosystem). Through iterations of visualization analysis and other statistical analysis, at the end of the internship, you will be able to present what the current status of our subscription app performance is, as well as what may be the future opportunity for each app, for both the marketing and product teams.
- Provide detailed report on subscription apps
- Provide statistical analysis with the data provided
- User data research/analysis and provide monetization suggestions based on analysis
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period
- Attention to detail
- Write and speak clearly, concisely and persuasively
- College level statistics knowledge required
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, Python, R etc.
*This position is based at our Yonkers headquarters - a 5 minute walk from the Metro-North train station.
