Sr. UX Designer

About the Job

LiveSafe is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer who will help shape the next generation of LiveSafe products, both mobile and web. The senior UX Designer will help drive the UX strategy and direction for LiveSafe products, which ultimately represents the “face” of the product, together with the Product Team. We are building a brand and we need a rockstar who can help design to make the world a safer place. (But really though, our app been used to prevent serious crimes, and even save a life!).

  • Designer with a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in both mobile and web design
  • Go-getter with a proven track record of designing and shipping successful products and services
  • Prototyping machine who is constantly discovering innovative ways to bring products to life
  • Design sponge, constantly learning and educating others about emerging design insights, and defending methodologies to a group.
  • Active participant in the digital design field, including speaking at conferences, publishing articles, and contributing to new products and services
  • Passionate storyteller who can confidently present their work to stakeholders
  • Individual comfortable in the startup world, but able to bring agency polish to their work

Skills & Requirements

There are always exceptions, and we hire exceptional individuals, so nothing on this list is strictly required. However, if many of these sound like you, then we are probably a good fit.

  • Exemplary mobile and web portfolio
  • Bachelors or Masters in a design-related field (e.g., interaction design, product design, graphic design) or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a professional UX designer or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent in all things digital design, whether it be Adobe products or emerging tools such as Sketch, Flinto, and InVision
  • Bonus points for HTML5/CSS3 chops, or knowledge regarding accessibility and cross-platform compatibility best practices
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
  • Tireless advocate for the user
