Warehouse Logistics Associate

Job Description

Humacyte, Inc., a biotechnology pioneer, discovers, develops and delivers innovative, award winning human biotherapies.  We are currently developing multiple vascular tissue engineered therapies and expanding our business model.  With a broad pipeline of potential new therapy applications, we continue to build our organization and scientific teams.  We are looking for additional colleagues to continue to build our expanding team.

Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.

Position Background:

Position reports to Associate Director, Supply Chain Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all safety related material handling procedures and equipment including fork-lift trucks and power pallet jacks. Will be required to move and lift smaller size materials physically
  • Adhere to all Humacyte Quality Management Systems (QMS) policies and procedures as applicable for functional areas
  • Strictly comply with all cGMP guidelines
  • Become trained on basic processes and equipment and serves as a hands-on resource in Logistics
  • Conducts all assigned activities in a safe and cGMP manner. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
    1. Receiving
    2. Picking
    3. Shipping
    4. Cycle Counts
    5. Documenting activities in accordance with cGMPs
    6. Handling chemically hazardous goods
    7. Executing process steps according to defined SOPs
    8. Interfacing with electronic business systems
    9. Supporting Qualification and Validation activities
    10. Identifying and communicating process issues
  • Supports team effort in the effective and timely completion of root cause investigations and CAPA implementation
  • Other duties, as assigned

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years’ experience as a material hander
  • At least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred; appropriate food industry experience may be considered in lieu of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements preferred
  • Previous MS Dynamics GP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience executing SOPs and documenting work preferred
  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds
