Supply Chain Analyst

Humacyte, Inc., a biotechnology pioneer, discovers, develops and delivers innovative, award winning human biotherapies.  We are currently developing multiple vascular tissue engineered therapies and expanding our business model.  With a broad pipeline of potential new therapy applications, we continue to build our organization and scientific teams.  We are looking for additional biomedical research and development colleagues to continue to build our expanding team.

Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment and lead other professionals and peers.

Position Background:

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the analysis of shipping lanes and will review Logistic processes and make recommendations on how to improve those processes. These processes can include Order Management, WMS, and physical material movement. The Supply Chain Analyst will also be responsible to implement approved recommendations and will play a critical role in various Supply Chain projects. The goal of the Supply Chain Analyst is to help the business increase cash flows, inventory turns, and employee productivity.

Position reports to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Examining workflow and utilizing analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and streamline business processes, and enhance supply chain processes
  • Responsible for data mining and analysis to understand and illustrate best practices in stock placement optimization, process development, and developing various logistic plans in order to enhance the distribution of goods
  • Partner with several cross functional teams to assist, influence, and recommend solutions that identify root cause analysis and improve process development.
  • Manage improvement projects from start to finish. Manage stakeholder communications and change control requirements
  • Provide analytical and system support for the development, implementation, and management of strategies and policies
  • Discover and implement the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
  • Project management

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline, preferably in Business, Materials Management, etc.
  • Experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
  • 1-3 years supply chain operations experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Expert knowledge of cGMP requirements, required
  • Full understanding of GMP’s, DOT, OSHA, EPA and other applicable regulatory agency requirements with demonstrated success in application
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes including: Order Management, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Transportation, Warehousing
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Relational Databases and ERP systems
