Research Associate I/II - New Product Development

Humacyte, Inc., a biotechnology pioneer, discovers, develops and delivers innovative, award winning human biotherapies.  We are currently developing multiple vascular tissue engineered therapies and expanding our business model.  With a broad pipeline of potential new therapy applications, we continue to build our organization and scientific teams.


  • Background and experience to a broad range of technical skills and fields that may include cell biology, molecular biology, tissue engineering, cardiovascular biology, animal models for preclinical evaluation of drugs or devices, chemical engineering, and/or regenerative medicine
  • Experience with compounding media and aseptic techniques for cell culture
  • Experience working with mammalian and/or human cells in tissue culture and bioreactor applications in the research and development setting
  • Experience with cell/tissue immunostaining and microscopic evaluation is a plus
  • Assay development experience for evaluation of biomaterial is a plus
  • Knowledge of extracellular matrix biology and hemodynamics desirable\
  • Able to design, develop, execute, and troubleshoot scientific experiments 
  • Experience with data analysis including use of appropriate statistical tests
  • Experience authoring and presenting scientific reports, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures
  • Familiarity and understanding of cGMP and cGLP practices is a plus


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, biomedical or chemical engineering
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years of scientific industry experience preferred
