Building Automation Engineer

  • Background in Building Automation, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and supporting automation for commercial manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with automation of bioprocess applications in GMP facility
  • Experience with BACnet and Johnson Controls preferred
  • Support the installation and validation a building automation system for the commercial manufacturing facility
  • Perform or assist in software/hardware calibrations required for BAS maintenance
  • Support or perform routing preventative maintenance program of BAS
  • Support and troubleshooting building automation during development, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing
  • Assist automation team as required in support of process automation and historian systems
  • Perform thorough system tests to ensure robustness of custom automation
  • Assist in the development of documentation, including functional requirements, design documents, test protocols, SOPs and reports
  • Support regulatory filings as required


  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar field and/or technical experience with HVAC systems, system software and device calibration
  • At least 3 years of industry experience in building or process and equipment automation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of GMP quality systems
