History: Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief agency that has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger for more than 15 years. Since 1998, the organization has coordinated the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid to children and families in countries all over the world.


The Certified Hunger Event Facilitator (CHEF) is responsible for facilitating Rise Against Hunger meal packaging events in the community and surrounding areas.  In this role, the CHEF will run meal packaging events from start to finish; including set-up of assembly line, conducting an educational presentation, training the volunteers, facilitating meal packaging, breaking down assembly line and reloading and returning the truck with equipment and completed meals.

Rise Against Hunger is offering this position to committed volunteers in recognition of their dedication and passion in the movement to end hunger.  The CHEF will represent Rise Against Hunger at meal packaging events and act as a source of information about the program, the organization, poverty and hunger. 


  • Current valid driver’s license and minimum of 7 years of clean driving, commercial vehicle license a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weeknights and weekends
  • Flexibility: willing to handle diverse tasks from warehouse cleaning to giving presentation
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, comfortable speaking in front of large groups
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Truck loading/unloading and moving heavy pallets is involved
