Summary:
As an Order Fulfillment Coordinator, you will be a critical link between our customers and internal teams, ensuring that orders are entered accurately, customers are informed, and operations run smoothly. You will play a key role in supporting the broader Production, Sales, and Logistics teams, helping ensure that the right products are built, shipped, and delivered on time to meet customer expectations. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys structured work, has an eye for detail, and is excited to build a future in supply chain operations and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter customer orders into our ERP system, verifying product details, shipping information, and required documentation.
- Maintain CRM data integrity — updating customer records, contacts, and account notes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate order confirmations and shipping updates to customers with professionalism and care.
- Create and manage internal transfer orders between Horizon locations.
- Support broader teams — providing Production with accurate order data, supporting Sales with customer updates, and assisting Logistics with order execution.
- Assist with document management and organizing shipment records.
- Proactively identify and correct minor discrepancies before they impact customer satisfaction or operational flow.
Who You Are:
- You take pride in supporting teams and keeping operations moving forward.
- You notice small errors — typos, missing fields, misaligned dates — and feel driven to fix them.
- You take personal ownership of your work and consistently follow through on your responsibilities.
- You are clear, professional, and respectful in your communications.
- You thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment where reliability and attention to detail are key.
- You are adaptable to change, are data driven and enjoy routines or processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School, GED, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in data entry, spreadsheets, and common business software (ERP, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Previous experience in order management, customer service, logistics, or administrative support is a plus — but we will train the right candidate.
Career Growth Pathway:
At Horizon Ag Products, we are committed to building strong careers through hands-on experience, structured development, and continuous learning.
In this role, you will be provided with direct mentorship, cross-training opportunities, and exposure to key operational areas.
As you gain experience and demonstrate mastery of core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to grow into specialized areas such as:
- Logistics Management — developing expertise in freight coordination, carrier relations, and shipment optimization.
- International Export Operations — supporting global shipping, export documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Customer Success Operations — deepening skills in customer communication, account management, and proactive service strategies.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination — gaining experience in production planning, material management, and internal inventory movements.
Our philosophy is to educate from within — building strong operational skills first, then expanding into broader areas of supply chain, logistics, and customer success based on your strengths and interests.
