Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Process Expert to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing and scaling Horizon Ag’s manufacturing and operational workflows through process standardization, ERP integration, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing process design, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and have knowledge or experience around ERP-driven operational transformation. This role will be instrumental in optimizing production processes to help scale into a new process manufacturing environment and aiding in a quality management implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Manufacturing Process Enhancements: Aid in creating and designing the best manufacturing practices and processes to scale within Acumatica ERP.
- Use of Best Practice Methodologies: Use of proven methodologies (Lean Methods) to streamline and improve manufacturing workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and optimize resource utilization across facilities.
- ERP Integration Alignment: Collaborate with the ERP Analyst to integrate manufacturing process improvements into Acumatica ERP, ensuring alignment between process enhancements and system capabilities.
- Project Management: Lead projects related to manufacturing process changes, including scoping, resource planning, timelines, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation.
- Standardize Best Practices: Develop and document standardized operating procedures across all manufacturing sites, supporting consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, IT, and Production teams to align process improvements with broader business strategies and ensure seamless execution within the ERP environment.
- Scalability Planning: Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes that align with the company’s growth trajectory and operational goals.
- Promote the Culture of Excellence: Foster a continuous improvement mindset by mentoring team members and driving adoption of best-in-class process optimization tools and philosophies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience improving manufacturing processes within a production or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and how they integrate into ERP systems.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into system functionality.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support project implementations and team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate would have an extensive background in manufacturing with experience in one of the following sectors: agrichemicals, bio stimulants, chemicals, mining/milling, or general manufacturing.
- Experience supporting ERP operations within manufacturing environments, with a focus on aligning system functionality to production workflows and process efficiencies.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or Agile project management methodologies, with an emphasis on driving cross-functional improvements.
- Experience in business process mapping and reengineering to support scalable ERP-driven operations in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
