Inventory Control Specialist

Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day inventory control of materials used in production and operations. This position oversees all inventory transactions and is responsible for implementing inventory control process improvements. This candidate should have excellent communication and relationship management skills to aid in creating a collaborative environment between internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have experience in warehousing, inventory control and process management in a manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Help design and implement inventory management procedures.
  • Use Acumatica ERP to drive systems solutions related to cycle count and inventory management.
  • Oversee and ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across 7 Plant/Warehouse locations.
  • Complete cycle counts of inventory.
  • Assist plant management and staff to implement best practice inventory control procedures.
  • Fulfill inventory savings goals, through process improvements and enhanced business operations.
  • Help develop and monitor savings tracking methods and processes.
  • Help establish and maintain inventory control and traceability to improve quality management system.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, at the production facilities, and within the company.
  • Work with operational leaders to understand business processes and structures to improve.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of related Warehouse and Inventory Control Experience.
  • Preferred experience with Acumatica ERP ideal or similar ERP (SAP/Oracle/Etc.)
  • ASCM CPIM certification ideal.

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain & Logistics

Travel: Up to 40% - Position will be required to frequently travel to Plant/Warehouse Locations.
