About the Job:
The National Trainer, Retail will be responsible for development and execution of sales, customer service, and all operational training programs for all retail stores. This position will seek to foster a workplace that upholds Holistic Industries’ aim to be the Best Place to Work, Shop, and Invest in cannabis by providing world-class customer service, focusing on professional development of staff, and creating an empowering work environment.
Support the Holistic culture of being the Best Place to Work, Shop, and Invest in cannabis.
Create, source and roll out training materials for retail store staff in the areas of new products and brands, daily operations and SOPs, regulations (including regulatory changes), sales and customer service, and all other operational areas as needed.
Participate in development and execution of new hire orientation for retail store employees.
Oversee online training for retail store employees.
Continuously measure effectiveness of training and update as needed.
Ensure all training meets regulatory requirements regarding timing, frequency, and/or duration, and proper documentation is created and retained.
Assist with new store opening activities.
Participate in selection, hiring, and on-boarding of new retail store employees.
With Marketing, create educational materials for patients and customers.
Comply with all policies and procedures established by Holistic Industries management.
Understand and adhere to all state or commonwealth cannabis regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations.
Other duties as assigned, or any reasonable request from any member of management.

Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with others, and view computer monitors; includes hand/eye coordination to properly and safely operate equipment
Reading, writing, understanding, and clearly speaking English; constant use of speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with others in person and by phone, giving and receiving instructions.
Working in an office environment with artificial lighting
Frequent travel by car, train, and/or airplane.
Frequently working in warehouse environment with exposure to marijuana plants and grow chemicals.
Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while performing all work tasks.
Extensive time using a computer screen and keyboard
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other Characteristics:
Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a fingerprinting background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
A 2- or 4-year degree in Business or a related field is strongly preferred.
At least 4 years of related experience is required; experience in the cannabis industry is strongly preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age (18 if allowed by regulation) and able to obtain and maintain medical marijuana work credentials and/or pass federal and/or state/commonwealth background checks
Ability to work productively in a virtual setting.
Must be able to travel frequently to any Company location.
Must be able to work any necessary hours, including weekends and evenings.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Must be detail oriented, organized, team-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
