About the Job:
The purpose of the National Maintenance Manager is to provide oversight and support for all retail and cultivation facility maintenance policies and procedures. The National Maintenance Manager will also provide guidance to Facility Maintenance Managers and Facility Operations Managers.
Oversee the implementation and continuity of maintenance policies and procedures at our cultivation (GP) and vertical facilities
Establish a preventative maintenance (PM) program for all critical systems in all GP and vertical facilities
Negotiate and monitor pricing with vendors when requested
Partner with local Facility Maintenance Managers and vendors to ensure the timely completion of service requests
Provide training as needed for development of maintenance employees
Participate in the interview, selection, and training process for new maintenance employees
Responsible as a “first responder” to coordinate the activities following a casualty event such as fire, flood, storms, and other major events. Partner with local Facility Maintenance Managers and vendors to manage the immediate repairs and ongoing repair work following the event.
In conjunction with the Expansion team and local Facility Maintenance Managers, coordinate and direct the activities of all contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
Prepare annual audits to assess the physical condition of buildings, grounds, and equipment
Maintain positive and responsive relationships with government and safety related officials and inspectors
Develop national maintenance program for all GP and vertical facilities
Define and implement key maintenance methodologies, e.g., critical equipment lists, budgeting tools, work order process, preventive maintenance techniques, outage planning
Provide appropriate maintenance reporting tools and systems to support maintenance decision making
Define, implement, and maintain optimal maintenance reporting tools
Ensure coordination and collaboration between facilities for consistency of systems and national roll-out where appropriate
Work with the Retail Property Management team to establish national procurement and service arrangements
Facilitate and ensure best practices among all facilities
Support implementing and enhancing the maintenance strategy
Train and coach our maintenance professionals on use of developed tools and methodologies
Propose and implement a training program for all maintenance employees
Perform and lead maintenance audits supporting the facilities in developing comprehensive progress plans
Ensure a safe working environment through effective safety training, safety inspections and follow-up on housekeeping performance.
Ensure employees are performing work safely and in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations

Other duties as assigned, or any reasonable request from any member of management
Physical Requirements of the Job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Exposure to long periods of bright lights. Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones.
Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
BS Engineering or BBA with related technical field experience
5 years of relevant operational experience in HVAC, Control Systems or similar industry with 5 years managing a maintenance department
Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred: CEA, greenhouses, and agriculture; setting up a national maintenance program; energy management methodologies; Upkeep or other CMMS software; clean room facilities; FDA requirements and regulations; researching and implementing maintenance ticket systems
Required Knowledge and Skills:
