About the Job:

As a Learning & Development Program Manager, you will execute on training strategy by designing, producing, and developing the necessary instructional materials. The position will maintain content as well modify and improve area specific content as requested by internal teams. The position will conduct training needs analyses to determine training objectives and content needed address operational business goals and key objectives. 

  • TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT 

    • Analyze the training needs of Operations teams.  

    • Design and develop core curriculum for new employees to achieve operational business goals.  

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to curate content. Adapt content as needed.  

    • Write materials to deliver learning experiences including: eLearning, quick guides, PowerPoint decks, workbooks, webinar outlines with scripts and supporting materials, exams/assessments and their accompanying aids.  

    • Apply adult learning principles and the latest instructional design theories and technologies to design innovative content and activities that engage learners.  

    • Deliver new content transferring knowledge to implementation or other teams who will deliver the content (train-the-trainer)  

  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT 

    • Evaluate program effectiveness setting regular program reviews with along reporting on program results 

    • Market learning and development programs to encourage engagement using various communications channels 

    • Support the administration, usage, and reporting of the company learning management system (LMS).  

    • Special projects as assigned.  

  • Physical Requirements of the Job: LIGHT OFFICE LIFTING. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 25 pounds (up to about 50 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Exposure to long periods of bright lights. Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones.

About You:  

General:

  • Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials.

Education/Experience: 

  • BS or BA degree in technical writing, instructional design, or other related discipline  

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining training programs 

  • Personal experience delivering live or in-person as well as online live or recorded training 

  • Prior experience in the cannabis industry a plus 

Technological Skills:  

  • Expert knowledge of eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline and Camtasia  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Experience and expertise with training delivery and tracking systems including learning management systems (LMS) and online or web delivery methods 

  • Ability to quickly learn and use enterprise software systems. 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong planning, project management, and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities and meet deadlines.  

  • Demonstrable proficiency in course development and effective methods of knowledge transfer.  

  • Demonstrable ability to devise creative methods for the transfer of technical information.
