About the Job:

The Internal Auditor - Electronic Information Systems will be responsible for auditing all electronic compliance systems in the Company, including, but not limited to, data collection and filing systems. The position will be responsible for auditing the processes and procedures used to maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory in in retail and grow/processing (GP) facilities, and will provide leadership and training in the development and implementation of retail and GP facilities’ inventory procedures, processes of inventory tracking, and inventory tracking systems. This role works closely with the Operations, Retail, and Information Technology, and Compliance teams to ensure consistent compliance system controls across the Company.

  • Survey functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the adequacy of system controls to achieve established objectives while maintaining operational compliance. 

  • Engage with co-workers in continual process improvement, and advise management-level staff on how to conduct new or updated processes, as needed. 

  • Conduct audits in retail, cultivation, and processing environments.  

  • Recommend corrective actions and share recommendations with all appropriate stakeholders. 

  • Other duties as assigned, and any reasonable request from any member of management. 

  • Physical Requirements of the Job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Exposure to long periods of bright lights. Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones. 

About You:  

General:

  • Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state marijuana licensing regulations.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. 

  • 3+ year of experience in METRC and LeafLogix is required; experience in MJ Platform is a plus.  

  • 2+ years of audit and/or inventory audit control experience is required; having this experience in audits of cannabis manufacturing, production, and/or retail is a plus. 

  • Cannabis industry experience is required. 

  • Experience working with SOPs is required. 

  • Experience training other employees to using Metrc and LeafLogix is a plus. 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 

  • Working knowledge of cannabis industry laws in multiple jurisdictions. 

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and evolving environment. 

  • Managing process, process improvement, developing policy and procedures. 

  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communications skills.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 

  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic.  

  • Able to maintain confidentiality. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
