About the Job:
The Director of Product Management leads the product life cycle management for all of our cannabis products, including product features, product positioning, market research, product roadmaps and innovation pipeline, with the goal of launching products quickly and efficiently.
Translate brand strategy into product strategy through the management of features, product roadmaps, product positioning, and the development and execution of a new product pipeline.
Manage the life cycle of products from ideation/innovation to launch including project management of product launch and go-to-market strategy.
Maintain a consumer-first focus and understands retail customers’ business needs while developing products and experiences that delight our end consumers.
Be the expert in our brands and product categories, their performance, the competition and the trends impacting the marketplace dynamics.
Provide Sales Leadership and Account Managers with insights on key product differentiators and messages in order to maximize distribution and sales.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on product-line marketing including brand strategy, brand standards, channel marketing messaging, and brand activation to achieve desired customer outcomes and financial results.
Act as the connection between Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations as it relates to product life-cycle management, launching new products, and introducing products to expansion markets.
Collaborate with Operations and Market GMs on evaluating and selecting outsourced vendors for white-label product lines.
Monitor product performance and customer feedback, NPS scores, COGS, margin and sales performance, and recommends plans to optimize.
Identify competitive gaps in the product portfolio and recommends plans to fill these gaps.
Identify opportunities to improve performance of focus SKUs (e.g. improved brand presentation on ecommerce sites, B2B ecommerce portal optimization, eliminating sales channel friction, better packaging, etc.).
Manage Product Catalog, SKU lists, product BOMs and packaging versioning and change request processes.
Coordinate with Compliance Managers to ensure product and packaging regulatory compliance in each market.
Provide regular and proactive information for management by preparing analyses, reports, and presentations on product performance.

Physical Requirements of the Job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Exposure to long periods of bright lights. Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones.
