Social Media Marketing Strategist

HolaDoctor owner of the largest digital health destinations for Hispanics and an insurance broker focusing on improving the life of Hispanics seeks a marketing-minded and goal-oriented Social Media Marketing Strategist.

The Social Media Marketing Strategist will be in charge of the management of our client social media programs and campaigns, as well as of the HolaDoctor social media efforts to increase leads and/or registrations in the Health Insurance field.

The ideal candidate will develop a consistent and flexible social media strategy to increase conversions.

The Social Media Marketing Strategist will expand the reach of HolaDoctor content, with the goal of generating more leads. The ideal candidate will need to manage a team responsible of sharing content and managing communities with the focus of generating sales conversions as well as traffic the HolaDoctor sites.

The person in this position will also be responsible of generating and managing social initiatives focused on improving HD’s relationships with its consumers, as well as helping develop social based solutions to assist with our customer service needs.

He or she will be able to dig into and analyze the data, and draw actionable insights in order to improve HolaDoctor Social Media Marketing efforts.

The main goals are to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

The ideal candidate will also manage client relationships derived from HolaDoctor’s digital ad sales team and will work with clients on a regular basis.

Our ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You will be responsible for having your team join relevant conversations on behalf of our  brand and “soft selling” our Insurance products by providing support to current and prospective customers as well as our Social Media followers and visitors.


  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Manage a team of social media specialists, and create and control the execution of a content calendar and posting schedule. 
  • Curate relevant content to reach the company’s ideal readers/customers.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written)
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads which will convert to sales.
  • Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
  • Oversee design (Facebook cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).
  • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
  • Compile report for management showing results (ROI), translating data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.
  • Become an advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social
  • Share conversion-oriented content on social media to attract more visitors to HolaDoctor and clients sites and convert them into leads
  • Constantly test and analyze results to build more effective standards in the Social Media team routines and respond effectively the needs of the company´s clients.
  • Create social media master projects plans for a client and manage their execution.
  • Optimize HD’s SM pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content as well as of the content produced by HD’s editorial staff.
  • Manage all user-generated content in line with our policies which we expect you ton develop.
  • Create editorial calendars.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other HD departments (customer service, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions



Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist

Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.

Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO

Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.

Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented  with good multitasking and organizational ability. Fluency in English



  • +4 years of experience in Social Media field.
  • +2 years of experience managing Social Media ad campaigns and developing social conversion funnels for sales.
  • Deep understanding of digital performance marketing
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Excellent writing and language skills in English as well as in Spanish
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and image format.
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees in the Social Media field.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation through our Social Media channels and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
  • Ability to lead meetings and bring together all participants needed within HolaDoctor to organize the production and scheduling of social media related production for our clients, this means coordinating  with Usability and Design, Programming, Technology, SEM and all other staffers needed for execution of projects to deliver them, on time and form.
  • Lead the social media ideation process to deliver attractive and effective marketing and production solutions with external agencies and clients as well as with HD’s programming and creative staff
  • Work with our internal Client Services and sales Departments and with external counterparts to sync campaigns execution.
  • Identify risks/needs and help provide creative solutions as appropriate
  • Assist in scheduling client meetings and maintain calendar updates
  • Communicate noticeable ‘wins,’ as well as gaps/problems
  • Help track campaign results daily by: analyzing raw data reports, creating dashboards and other miscellaneous reports
  • Create case studies of strategic campaigns to be used in future pitches
  • Needs to become an expert in the field of health insurance and digital marketing solutions related to health insurance field. If expertise is not there should be swiftly gained.



  • Excellent written and verbal skills: be comfortable and well versed in writing proposals, POVs and explaining strategies as well as assembling statements of work and all marketing project documentation
  • Clarity and professionalism in client communications.
  • Must be organized and efficient while working on multiple tasks with the ability to ensure project deliverables are on time and fully executed.
  • Full understanding and experience with social media centric projects as well as overall interactive media both mobile and desktop
  • Working knowledge of third party Internet marketing research:  comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, NetRatings, and others
  • Experience putting detailed execution reports together and tracking the success of social campaigns
  • Experience analyzing data and market research
