Associate Product Manager



Job Summary

The Associate Product Manager will work closely with the rest of the Product Management team to drive product innovation that creates sustained competitive advantage and growth. They will assist Product Managers with customer conversations, requirements gathering, product ideation, beta testing and coordination with the engineering and UX teams. This role will be very focused on product implementation details and the ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical and passionate about creating well-designed products.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with market needs analysis and requirements gathering
  • Participate in customer conversations and work with user groups
  • Write user stories and acceptance tests
  • Document business and user requirements for new product features to be implemented by the development team
  • Prepare accurate and detailed technical requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents
  • Work with user experience to create prototypes
  • Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
  • Assist in project scoping, cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations
  • Support marketing, sales, technical support, clinical support and customer service through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical discipline; an advanced degree is desirable
  • 2 years in a Product/Business Analyst role or related field
  • Experience in successful deployment of web-based products
  • Should be familiar with database and software design concepts and related technologies
  • Ability to blend creativity with analytical problem solving
  • Ability to grasp broad product/business strategy and technical product details
  • Passion for software products and technology, especially web applications
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience working in an agile development process a plus
