The Manager of the Sales Development team will manage a team of Sales & Market Development Representatives (SMDRs) with the goal of increasing the quality and quantity of qualified sales opportunities.  Key focus areas for the role include building programs and cadences for outreach and follow-up to prospects, growing and coaching the existing team while putting in tools and processes to effectively scale the function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing team of SMDRs, including hiring and coaching

  • Develop repeatable cadences of follow-up to inbound inquiries into HighRadius

  • Work closely with sales organization to ensure sales teams are effectively meeting their targets within their markets/territories

  • Collaborate to jointly develop strategies in conjunction with marketing programs to improve the conversion rate into qualified opportunities

  • Develop and maintain KPIs for overall performance along with activity based metrics to ensure high level of team performance

  • Identify tools and processes to improve efficiency of SMDR function

  • Train new SMDRs to quickly onboard them and get them to full productivity

  • Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach daily dial goals and monthly qualified leads goals

  • Report to senior management on sales metrics and opportunities

  • Evaluate processes and performance and suggest improvements that can be made to increase effectiveness of marketing and lead generation

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must have experience running a similar function for 3+ years.  Similar function could be inside sales, telemarketing, customer service or qualification team.

  • Track record of hiring, coaching and developing junior resources

  • Experience driving a metrics driven team

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Preference for individuals with experience with financial buyers

  • Strong coach and comfortable with new resources

  • Analytical and metric driven mindset

  • Experimentation inclined

  • Process driven

  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast paced environment

  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times

  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Salesforce CRM, sales engagement platforms, MS Excel and PowerPoint
