About Us: Hi-Crush is a leading domestic producer, supplier, and distributor of premium Northern White frac sand used to enhance recovery rates of oil and natural gas from hydraulic fracturing wells.

POSITION SUMMARY

With limited supervision, responsible for operating and driving industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as a forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam, and swivel-hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack tier, or move containers at the Transload site to and from the trucks.

Essential Functions Statement(s) – Transload Operations

Monitors orders and schedules and reviews daily work plan with supervisor. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded containers, and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. 

Load or unload containers onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device. 

Observes operation to detect equipment malfunction and informs Supervisor when malfunction occurs.
Ensures containers are recorded accurately in Propx tracking system. Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors Assist Transload site operations when needed. 

Unload sand at facilities (moving rail cars into position, monitoring flows, directing sand to appropriate truck or silo, preparing empty cars for transit).

Carry out basic preventive maintenance on equipment or inspect equipment prior to start-up, including but not limited to lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank etc. Record equipment condition and any maintenance performed.

Assist with general housekeeping before leaving location Assist with other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Sufficient education to complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. Must be able to read and interpret work plans and orders, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of heavy forklift operation or comparable experience along with prior experience operating small equipment including 36,000 pound capacity forklifts.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills required. 

Certification/License:

Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record within past five years for insurance carrier coverage.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication.  Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.  Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis and be at least 18 years of age. Must have high safety standard for self and others. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.

Physical Demands:

F (Frequently)

Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 75 pounds of weight from 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs./day)

Other Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility. Frequently lift 75 lbs. or more.  Frequently climbs ladders and stairs
