About Us: Hi-Crush is a leading domestic producer, supplier, and distributor of premium Northern White frac sand used to enhance recovery rates of oil and natural gas from hydraulic fracturing wells.
With limited supervision, responsible for unloading of sand at facilities, via computer programs and some physical labor, by moving rail cars into position, monitoring flows, directing sand to appropriate trucks or silos and preparing empty cars for transit.

Essential Functions Statement(s) – Transload Operations
Monitors orders and schedules and reviews daily work plan with supervisor.
Unloads sand from rail cars or trucks from a computer screen or manually with a use of a forklift.
Works, at times, at heights over 100’ in the air on silos.
Observes operation to detect equipment malfunction and informs Supervisor when malfunction occurs.
Ensures containers are recorded accurately in Propx tracking system. Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors Assist Transload site operations when needed.
Reports orally and records in the computer daily records and maintenance logs.
Keep facilities orderly and clean (including but not limited to removing spilled sand, clean spilled grease, oil and paint).
Carries out basic preventive maintenance on equipment or inspect equipment prior to start-up, including but not limited to lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank etc. Record equipment condition and any maintenance performed.
Assist with other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Mechanical know-how. The operator will have to make frequent and numerous repairs without assistance and in all types of conditions
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Customer service skills. Operator will interact with customers as well as Hi crush representatives
Must not be afraid of heights
Ability to follow safety compliance procedures
High School Diploma or GED required.
Sufficient education to complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. Must be able to read and interpret work plans and orders, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
A minimum of 6 months of heavy forklift operation or comparable experience along with prior experience operating small equipment including 36,000 pound capacity forklifts is preferred by not required
Basic computer skills required.
Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record within past five years for insurance carrier coverage.
Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication. Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis and be at least 18 years of age. Must have high safety standard for self and others. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 75 pounds of weight from 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs./day)
Other Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility. Frequently lift 75 lbs. or more. Frequently climbs ladders and stairs. Cannot be afraid of heights.
