About Us: Hi-Crush is a leading domestic producer, supplier, and distributor of premium Northern White frac sand used to enhance recovery rates of oil and natural gas from hydraulic fracturing wells.

POSITION SUMMARY With limited to no supervision, responsible for the operation and maintenance of all plant departments to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Has proven leadership abilities and acts as a Supervisor over Wet and Dry Plant, Load-Out, Maintenance departments.

Essential Functions Statement(s) – Night Shift Plant Supervisor performs all functions listed below.   In addition, a Night Shift Plant Supervisor level requires proven leadership abilities and is proficient in all aspects of plant operation. • Monitors and controls plant operating systems.   • Constantly reviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality,  anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for  improvement. • Participates in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.    • Maintains adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc., on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis, as required.    • Participates in Quality Assurance program by communicating directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.   

 • Samples and tests process streams as required by the QA program and procedures.   • Understands and interprets QA results and takes appropriate action when required.   • Participates in plant maintenance program.    • Communicates directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.    • Performs preventive maintenance activities as required.    

• Directs the activities of the 50+ hourly and staff positions on the operations team to ensure effective short and long-term plant operations.  • Oversee and make sound decisions for the nighttime load-out department when problems arise.  

• Maintains and optimizes metrics relevant to safety, efficiency, quality, costs and other relevant aspects of plant operations.  • Analyzes personnel team and selects the best method to meet production goals.  • Ensures safety and environmental practices are maintained and all regulatory requirements are met and exceeded.  • Monitors costs and quality standards.  • Ensures compliance with production reporting and inventory procedures.  • Maintains communications with, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Quality, Safety, and Environmental departments.  • Maintains a positive employee and labor relations environment, while properly motivating and documenting workforce performance.  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Diploma or GED required.  

Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.  

Experience: A minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of sand processing experience along with prior experience operating small equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, and man lifts. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. 

Certifications & Licenses:   

Valid state driver’s license with no serious violations within the previous five years. 

Other Requirements:     

Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication.  Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.  Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis and be at least 18 years of age. Must have high safety standard for self and others. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.  

Work in this position is performed in a plant, processing or trans-loading environment and subject to mandatory, regular medical screening as outlined in the company safety programs that is position related and consistent with business necessity.   

Physical Demands:   F (Frequently)  Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 75 pounds of weight from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs./day)       

Other Physical Requirements:  1. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility. 2. Frequently lift 75 lbs. or more.  3. Frequently climbs ladders and stairs. 

Work Environment:  

Work performed in a plant environment. Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside. 

Personal Protective Equipment:  Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be worn at all times.  Auditory and fall protection applicable when required.
